With the introduction of Alukaflex ECO 1kV DanCables takes another step to make work easier in the construction industry. Alukaflex ECO RZ1-AK is a highly flexible installation cable in aluminum designed for fixed installation. This can be indoors and outdoors as well as in the ground. Besides the flexibility Alukaflex ECO also gives a weight reduction up to 48% compared to the traditional class 1 and 2 installation cables in copper. Alukaflex ECO is especially suitable in places where a more flexible cable is needed, as the cable has a flexible conductor. Alukaflex ECO can also be used where there is a requirement for high fire safety such as data centers, hospitals, and other public buildings.

Low smoke zero halogen
Low smoke zero halogen or just LSZH for short is a material classification used to describe the components in a cable sheath. In Alukaflex ECO the outer sheath is made of polyolefin that produces low smoke and zero halogen when exposed to high temperatures or fire. That makes the cable suitable in situations where safety is especially important.
Higher flexibility
Alukaflex ECO has a conductor made of fine stranded aluminum. This makes it more flexible and bendable which makes it easy to work with. The flexibility is outstanding compared with the standard class 1 and 2 installation cables.
Fire Class
An independent third-party test center has performed a fire test to ensure high quality. Alukaflex ECO has achieved fire class Dca in cross section from 50 – 500 mm², which makes the cable perfect in places where there is a need for a high fire class. In cross sections from 10 – 35 mm² the cable has Eca.

With Alukaflex ECO cross section from 4×10 mm² – 4×35 mm² and 5G10 mm² – 5G35 mm², you get a 1 kV installation cable that can be used in most places. It is for example suitable for electric charging stations but can also be used as a branch line or for smaller solar cell systems. Alukaflex ECO has a high bending radius, and is for permanent installation indoors, outdoors and in soil. The fire class is Eca.
